I have been taking online classes for skincare and have become an Avon skin care specialist in the last couple of days.  I still feel like there is so much more to learn.  Most of the classes I have taken really talk about dry skin and wrinkles, but I have oily skin.  I have been trying to find the right skin care for myself.  I can tell you a ton of what to use if you have dry skin or wrinkles though and I will do a blog on that sometime really soon.

Ok, back to my oily skin.  With the warmer weather and the sun, my skin is in oily overdrive so I did a much needed face mask today.  The mask I choose is Avon’s Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask. It has oil-absorbing mineral clay that pulls like a magnet to draw out pore-clogging dirt & oil.

this is me right after putting on the mask. It starts out black and dries grey.

I can smile right now, but as it starts drying, it pulls tight.  It sucks up the oil and tightens the skin.  Feels like it is doing something.

Almost completely dry
Almost completely dry

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to completely dry and as you can see in the pic that it turns grey.  Not as big of a smile because the mask gets tight.  But still feels good.

I made it through.  My skin feels less oily, tighter and soft.  Definitely clean.  I really like this mask.  I like a mask that feels like it is doing something while on and you can see a difference right after.  The mask itself has a light clean smell, not a clay smell.  You should treat your skin to a facial mask once a week.  Clay is the best kind of mask for oily skin it soaks up all that oil really nicely.
