Dear Bathing Suit Makers Everywhere,
I am a plus size girl and in turn have a large breast size, just like probably every plus size girl out there. So why, when I go to buy a bathing suit does it have absolutely no support for my girls? When I go bra shopping I have to search high and low for cute bras because they make only industrial strength bras for breasts my size, but when I go to buy a bathing suit I get a thin elastic strap and some cups and am told this is a sewn in bra. Really??!!!!! That isn’t fooling anyone. My friend’s daughter, who is about a size 4 and an A cup, has underwire support on her bikini tops…..Ya, we wouldn’t want those A’s flopping around or anything. But my D cups are left to their own device, which means, let’s hope they float once I hit the water. Please hear me and all the other big boobed women out there when we beg for bathing suits to have a real bra in it.
Thank you kindly,
These girls need support

That is why I order mine off the internet. I wear a g cup in a bra. I order my bottoms separate from my tops. They cost more, but are worth it. My tops have under wire and hold me up….even when I get wet

I might have to break down and spend a ton if money. My bathing suits are usually $60-$100. Ugh.

I fully support this…unlike the support my girls get in a bikini or bathing suit.

it would be even better if they sucked in some fat as well but I will settle for support for now…lol

I’m with you on wanting support in a bathing suit. It’s one of the reasons I don’t wear one.

My complaint always!! My cousin was lucky to find one from Roxy but it was well above what I would usually pay for a bikini top.

Well and that’s the problem too. You might find one with support but you will pay a pretty penny for it as well.

We should start a petition. I am not very well endowed but I do feel it unfair that they only offer certain options to different sizes of people instead of being equal in their designs and there isn’t excuse they are just being lazy.
thanks for sharing this!

A lot of stores have bating suits that you can buy by bra size. I bought two bikinis from H&M for only $30 and both tops were sized by my bra not just s/m/l. Or stores like victoria’s secret. My sister’s an FF and she has no problem but sorry you’re having no luck.

Bikini days are long gone for me. If I could wear one I would even just wear a cute bra, but I can’t get away with that. Need a one piece. FF….wow, that has to be rough.

Ohmygoshyes. Yes. Please. I’m the lucky(?) owner of DD’s and bathing suits are evil (in my most humble opinion). They are the main reason I keep praying to win the lottery – so I can put in a pool at my house and never have to deal with being seen in one in public, lol.

Amen! I found a suit with an underwire at Lands End Canvas once, and man, did it make a difference.

I have the opposite problem… I’m a plus size female (size 16-18) that has small breasts (A/B) so whenever I try to buy a bathing suit I have to either take in that area or wear bras under it…. 😦

Have you tried a tankini? You can buy the tops and bottoms in different sizes. That has to be hard. We are able to find clothes that fit us at all other times of the year but bathing suits are just another story.

Bathing suit shopping is the worse! They simply do not seem to take into account different body types.

I got my bikini from torrid. They have natural support ones that include an underwire and it was less than $40 a piece. They also have one pieces. You said you are far past a bikini? Girl, you rock whatever suit you pick and hopefully the twins will follow suit. (;

I have a tankini and I got it from Torrid. Maybe the store I was at didn’t have the same styles because mine had no support. I’ll have to look at another store.

Omg I feelThis is an issue for all sized girls with boobs! I’m smallish but have big boobs and ughhhh…. For someone who should love swimsuit shopping I hate it because they think all small girls have no boobs and the tops are like a string top -_- I need some support designers -_-

YES! Why is it the tiny sizes have underwire but not the larger sizes for those of us who are well endowed?!
